![]() DANS TT It was good to finally get to the TT – our home race – at the end of May. Our season suffered a false start following Dan’s accident at Jurby The Superbike was destroyed and Dan ended up with 2 fractured vertebrae in his neck. Fortunately, Dan made a rapid and complete recovery and the bike was replaced/repaired. Having missed the first three races of the British Superbike Championship our 1st race was the North West 200 in Northern Ireland. This race was blighted by appalling weather. Dan was running close to the top 10 when an electrical problem brought our race to a halt on the final lap. No further racing took place and the event was cancelled We then moved to Thruxton for the 4th round (our 1st) of the BSB championship. Once again, the event was affected by damp and wet conditions. It is fair to say that we were struggling in order to set the bike up due to our lack of time with the bike In the 1st race Dan finished 22nd overall (7th in the Evo class). This was a reasonable start to our reason. Dan was not able to participate in the 2nd race of the day. He had to leave the circuit in order to reach the Isle of Man for Monday evening practice......continue |
